Virtual United Shuttle /Shuttle By United Pilots who are assigned the United Shuttle/Shuttle By United operations are only permitted to fly those routes! The shuttle routes are only flown by the 737-322’s and –522’s. If you wish to fly something other than a shuttle route (i.e. DEN-MSP 737 route) you must first contact the hub manager to make the proper arrangements. The average Shuttle pilot will fly between 4-6 trips per flight day (i.e. DEN-LAS-SFO-LAX-LAS-DEN, or LAX-LAS-LAX-PHX-LAX-SFO-LAS). The Shuttle operations are only intended for pilots who prefer to fly short hops on the west coast. If you wish to fly east coast hops you will need to stick to the mainline flying!
